Everything You Need to Know About Fat Freezing Procedures in 2021

Finding quick and safe solutions for removing fat and improving one’s body shape can be difficult in 2021, especially considering how dangerous and complicated fat removing procedures can be.

What is Fat Freezing?

Fat freezing is a non-surgical procedure that freezes fat as a means to contour the body. This is one of the most popular non-surgical procedures in the world because of how easy it is for those undergoing the procedure and how affordable it can be in comparison to surgeries.

Fat freezing uses cryolipolysis, a non-invasive, natural fat elimination technique that makes use of freezing temperatures to sculpt the body and reduce fat.

How Does it Actually Work?

Patients required to undergo an initial consultation first, where the process is explained, and any questions about the procedure are addressed. After the consultation it is the patients decision whether or not they would like to proceed with the fat freezing procedure.

Before the treatment starts, the position of the applicator needs to be marked on the body as this would determine where the fat freezing and subsequent body contouring will take place.

The skin is then gently sucked between two cooling plates, and this is when the freezing process begins. This natural process involves controlled freezing, which freezes the fat cells of the body until they have crystallised. The fat cells start to crystallise at around -5 to -10 degrees Celsius. Once the fat cells have crystallised, the body then naturally decomposes the fat through the kidney and urine.

The whole fat freezing process takes around 30 to 40 minutes, depending on the number of areas to be treated.
